What is Better Youth’s Registered Apprenticeship Program?
A youth apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with job-related academic instruction in a curriculum aligned with a specific career pathway. Better Youth’s Registered Apprenticeship is a government-backed workforce development program for 18 - 24-year-olds that includes:

1080 - 2000 hours (minimum) of competency-based paid on-the-job training with competency-based wage increases, provided by an employer

144 hours (minimum) of related supplemental instruction (RSI)/training, as determined by the employer and Better Youth and organized by Better Youth

6+ months of dedicated mentorship, provided either internally by an employer or externally by an organization partner of Better Youth’s

An official certificate of completion that is often viewed as an alternative to a college degree
